Eager to leave behind their mall-bound storefronts and transform into a household staple found on grocery aisles, Popology popcorn was in need of a new name and upgraded business model that would guide their brand to the next level and beyond.

SASSO combined a vivacious, festival spirit with charming, Southern hospitality in its marketing and creative efforts. Our strategy was to create a Louisiana-inspired party in a bag. embraced its Louisiana roots. We drew inspiration from our culture to craft an authentically fresh story that would resonate with the South and could be easily recognized in new markets. And thus, Cajun Pop was born.

Good Times Meet Bold Flavor

We know Louisiana is known for its great food and flavors. As we developed descriptions for Cajun Pop’s parade of flavors, we captured the themes of each recipe’s famous Louisiana ingredients, giving each product a unique personality.

Our team built Cajun Pop’s brand architecture and identity by embracing Louisiana roots in a revamped logo, story, packaging and more. Inspired by a vintage Louisiana feel, we created a look that evokes the state’s vibrant attitude.

Small Batch, Big Personality

Starting with 6 flavors, we designed the product packaging to be consistent with the personality of each flavor. As new flavors are developed, we’re able to add products to the lineup that are just as unique and appealing to consumers.

Flying off the Shelves

Early success in sales is leading to national interest in Cajun Pop’s brand and fast expansion into more retailers across the South including Walmart, Winn-Dixie, Rouses Markets, Associated Grocers stores, convenience stores and gas stations.

Big Easy Brand Photos

We further developed Cajun Pop’s visual personality by capturing vibrant photos to be used for a LookBook for potential Cajun Pop vendors and distributors, click-worthy web banners and social media content.

Bringing the Party to the People

The final stage of our rebrand required a hub for customers to learn more about Cajun Pop and order their favorite flavors. We developed a user-friendly eCommerce store to provide an additional revenue stream through direct sales.
