SASSO Wins Red Stick Awards for POWERADE #MoreElectrolytes NIL Campaign

The annual Red Stick Awards, presented by the Public Relations Association of Louisiana, recognizes outstanding public relations projects across the Greater Baton Rouge area. Its categories include PR campaigns, media relations, digital media, special events and much more. This year, SASSO took home a Red Stick Award for its POWERADE #MoreElectrolytes NIL Campaign! 

In early 2023, POWERADE released an enhanced formula for their leading sports drink to include twice as many electrolytes. Our team decided to take advantage of the ability to now use collegiate athletes’ name, image and likeness (NIL) as influencers in a #MoreElectrolytes social media campaign. Partnering with eight athletes from five universities in Louisiana and Mississippi from a variety of sports, we embarked on a three-month journey that resonated with 2.2 million Instagram users within our target demographics. Our efforts also sparked over 22,000 engagements while maintaining a 99.98% positive brand sentiment.
